Jets come out on top in game 2
RECAP:
The Winnipeg Jets have taken Game 2 from the jaws of the St. Louis Blues.
Coming out a little slow once again, Winnipeg woke itself up thanks in large part to a heavy neutral zone check by defenceman Logan Stanley, and partially due to another tactical defensive outing.
This time, the Jets scored the first goal, only to see the visitors respond on another power play marker to make it 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. A scoreless second period made way for another big, third period Kyle Connor game-winner, as Mark Scheifele and Cole Perfetti combined to find Connor wide open in front of the net for the go-ahead goal just under two minutes into the final frame.
For the second-straight game it was Mark Scheifele and Connor scoring for Winnipeg, with Scheifele getting things going late in the first period.
And as much as they'd like to get back out there on the ice on Tuesday night, the Jets will likely use the added day between Games 2 and 3 and Games 3 and 4 for rest, appropriate travel and recovery.
With the series shifting to St. Louis and the Enterprise Center booked with concerts on Friday and Saturday, there will be two days off between each contest. Thursday night's game will feature an 8:45 PM central puck drop, while Sunday's test is a noon start. Both contests can be viewed live on Sportsnet.

Luke Schenn on the "Luke is better" chants:
“I don’t buy it. Actually, I was laughing because in Game 1 I was trying to figure out what the heck they were saying. But as they were chanting it, the puck goes off my foot and we get scored on, so it was a bit of karma. I don’t know. Brayden has had a heck of a career too, and he’s been around a long time and won himself, too. I think Jets fans would appreciate having him on this side too. I appreciate the support from our fans, for sure. At the end of the day, I’m sure my parents are sitting in the crowding and they don’t even know what to think.”
Scott Arniel on moving on to Game 3:
"Again, this is all (about) Game 3 now. We'll do our postgame work tomorrow or over the next couple of days here. The guys know how hard it is, now. Like I mentioned after Game 82, we've learned some lessons about how to play in different buildings, against different teams, different styles. It can never equal what happens in these playoffs, as you guys can probably tell with just how physical it is and how fast it is. Now the guys, they recognize this is how we have to play every game and it's going to be a grind. They're going to be tight games. This is exactly... Going into St. Louis, it's going to be tight like this again and that's when we have to stay in the moment, play each shift out, and hopefully we come out on the right side of it."
WHAT’S NEXT:
Game 3 will be aired live on Sportsnet on Thursday evening. It will be in the late night, 8:45 PM central timeslot. Sunday's Game 4 will be played at 12:00 noon.
