Jets down three players for Saturday morning affair
The Winnipeg Jets will be without three critical pieces on Saturday morning when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes in a rare 11:30 AM central start.
After hinting at the possibility of four forwards being game-time decisions on Friday, Jets' head coach Rick Bowness made it clear the team would not know who would be suiting up until Saturday morning when the team shows up at the rink.
Bowness said Gabe Vilardi - who hurt himself on Thursday - as well as Nikolaj Ehlers, Sean Monahan and Mason Appleton were all dealing with injuries and would have their statuses reassessed in the morning.
Pre-game warmup saw all three of Ehlers, Monahan and Appleton skate, as well as the additions of recent healthy scratches Rasmus Kupari, David Gustafsson and Logan Stanley. Cole Perfetti did not skate for the Jets, while Brenden Dillon also did not appear.
Vilardi was listed as injured, while Dillon is considered under the weather with an illness. Perfetti was a healthy scratch.
The game features an 11:30 AM start time, and can be viewed live on TSN.
