Vladislav Namestnikov out with lower-body injury
Forward Vladislav Namestnikov will miss at least one game with a lower-body injury.
The 31-year-old NHL veteran hurt himself in a scuffle with Edmonton Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse in the third period, and left the game.
When asked about his availability, head coach Rick Bowness indicated that Namestnikov's setback should be short-term, but he will miss Saturday's game vs. Chicago, and is likely out of action for the Monday night affair with the Eastern Conference's Carolina Hurricanes.
The injury is considered lower-body; he has not been placed on the team's injured reserve, indicating things aren't extremely serious.
If he does not return on Monday, Namestnikov's next chance to suit up in action would be when the Jets hit the road for four-straight games out West next week. Winnipeg takes on Colorado on Thursday, before visiting Anaheim, San Jose and Los Angeles in a span of just four days.
