Winnipeg's Kyle Connor is heading to the 2024 NHL All-Star Game
Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor - the cover athlete of Game On's most recent issue - is Toronto-bound for the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend.
Having been injured in the mid-stages of the season, Connor is now fully recovered and back in Winnipeg's lineup, to which the NHL has recognized his early-season success with a nod to the annual festivity.
Connor joins the star-studded lineup as an injury replacement alongside New York Rangers forward Vinny Trocheck, who will be filling in for injured forwards Jack Eichel and Connor Bedard.
After initially only hearing Connor Hellebuyck's name as the lone Jet granted a selection to the weekend event, the league recently announced head coach Rick Bowness as one of the four All-Star coaches, before now adding Kyle Connor to the mix.
Winnipeg closes out its unofficial first half with two road games in Boston and Toronto this week, before returning to Canada Life Centre for the second half of the home-and-home with the Maple Leafs on Saturday. The team's bye week runs from January 28 to February 5, coinciding with the February 1-3 All-Star Weekend.
