Jets win first in seven, beat kings 4-3
RECAP:
The Winnipeg Jets have finally remembered how to win.
For the first time in seven games, Winnipeg put up a full 60-minute effort, and battled back for two points, improving its record to 45-24-6 on the season.
With just seven games left on the schedule, the Jets will need to keep the pedal to the metal, as they hope to enter the postseason hot, as opposed to whatever it was they struggled with over the past two weeks.
To make things better, Winnipeg actually has a two-day break between games for the first time since March 6-7. And that break will certainly feel a lot better coming after a win, as opposed to a seventh-straight loss.
Cole Perfetti scored twice, while Laurent Brossoit turned aside 25 pucks for the win.
Having sat out most of the past 15 games, Perfetti rebounded with a two-goal performance, in his return from the press box, as Tyler Toffoli missed time with an illness.
Sean Monahan and Josh Morrissey scored the other goals for Winnipeg, which will now see the Calgary Flames on Thursday evening as it wraps up its season-high, five-game homestand.

QUOTABLE:
Cole Perfetti on when he found out he was going to be in the Jets' lineup on Monday:
“Yeah, kind of going home from morning skate I had a pretty good idea. Toff was sick and under the weather. I didn’t know one hundred percent, but prepared as if I was and came to the rink and when I got here, obviously he wasn’t here, he was sick. I just went about it as if it was a normal game day. Luckily enough I was in, so it was good.”
Josh Morrissey on the Jets' win:
“Obviously it’s great to get off the losing streak. We played hard. Went through a little bit of adversity going down in the game. Found a way to come back multiple times I guess. Didn’t lose our confidence. I thought we did a good job. It’s nice to get that one. Hopefully we can look forward now and continue to get our game right.”
WHAT’S NEXT:
Next up for Winnipeg is the last home appearance of the five-game stand, with fellow Canadian rival, Calgary, making its way to Canada Life Centre on Thursday evening. That game will be back to a 7:00 PM central start time. It can be viewed live on TSN.
