ABOUT ME I’m First Nation, a member of Nelson House. I started playing in Thompson when I was eight years old. I moved to Winnipeg when I was 11 and played boys’ hockey with the Richmond Kings. I switched to girls’ hockey when I was 14 with the AA Bantam Twins. I’m now in my second year with the AAA Ice and have one more season. Last year was my first year with Team Manitoba at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship and it was really fun. It was such a great experience. That tournament was really important to me because there aren’t a lot of First Nation girls playing in Manitoba.
LAST HIGHLIGHT My biggest highlight was scoring the only goal in Game 2 and the winning goal in the final game to help the Ice win the 2023 (MFHL U18 AAA) championship.
THE FUTURE ME I’m in Grade 11 and I haven’t decided what I want to take in university when I graduate high school, but I know I want to play university hockey. I want to be a role model for Indigenous girls.
