Moose sign two for 2024-25
The Manitoba Moose have signed two new players for the 2024-25 American Hockey League season.
On Thursday, it was announced that the Moose had agreed to terms with free agent forwards Ryan Chyzowski and Kevin Conley on matching one-year contracts.
The two signees have spent their careers in the minor leagues, bouncing between the AHL and the ECHL. Chyzowski, 24 spent 2023-24 with the Reading Royals, skating in 44 games while putting up 17 goals and 30 points. Conley, 27, played solely for the Iowa Wild of the AHL last season.
The 27-year-old registered six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 59 games for Minnesota's farm club - his second full season in the AHL. Conley previously served as captain of the University of Nebraska-Omaha for two seasons, while Chyzowski was the captain of the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers to conclude his Junior career.
Chyzowski, a Kamloops, BC product, previously suited up for the Toronto Marlies in the 2021-22 and the 2022-23 seasons. So, AHL play will be nothing new, despite his one-year hiatus last season. Conley, on the other hand, has played in 11 ECHL games over the past two seasons, while mainly serving with the Wild.
In 161 career NCAA games, Conley had 40 goals and 87 total points. In 280 WHL games, Chyzowski amassed 98 goals and 217 points.
