Brad Lambert earns AHL's Top Rookie Honour
The American Hockey League has announced its March Rookie of the Month honour as Manitoba Moose forward Brad Lambert.
The 20-year-old offence driver operated at nearly a point-and-a-half per-game through March, putting up 18 points in 13 contests for the Moose, which went a strong 10-3-1 in their 14 total games.
Scoring four times, Lambert added 14 assists, and needed man advantages for just four of his 18 points in March. The Finnish product finished the month a plus-four and 33 shots on goal. He scored a point or more in 10 of 13 games, while producing five games of two-plus points. He had three games featuring three or more points.
Selected in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Lambert leads all Moose players in scoring and is No. 2 in points by a rookie league-wide (49).
Other Moose players to earn the AHL's Rookie of the Month honours include Cole Perfetti, Brenden Kichton, Cory Schneider and Kevin Bieksa.
A bobblehead in his likeness will be available for fans attending Sunday's game against the Chicago Wolves at 2:00 PM central time from Canada Life Centre.
