Domenic Divincentiis earns OHL recognition
Winnipeg Jets star goaltending prospect Domenic DiVincentiis has been recognized for his recent level of play with the Ontario Hockey League's North Bay Battalion.
Going 7-1-0 in the month of February, the 19-year-old took home the league's Goaltender of the Month honours, to which he recorded a sparkling .916 save percentage and a 2.39 goals against average in his eight starts.
Within the month, DiVincentiis had a shutout and two 30+ save victories for Brampton. He helped the Battalion clinch a spot in the OHL playoffs while taking home his third monthly recognition over the past two seasons of play.
On the year, the Jets' seventh round pick (2022) has a 21-9-3-1 record to go alongside a 3.22 goals against average, a .891 save percentage and the single shutout. In his career, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound backstop has a 71-26-5-2 record, 2.68 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 110 regular season OHL games.
DiVincentiis signed his three-year, entry-level contract with Winnipeg on July 5 this past summer.
