QUOTEABLE:
Nino Niederreiter on his team's recent success:
“I think everyone feels very good about themselves. We have been playing great hockey lately. Obviously, when you lose a guy like KC, you have a lot of slack to cover, and we did a lot of that and done a great job. Gabe came in and has been absolutely on fire from one the first line. They have played 200-foot hockey and i think the whole team is knowing that if they do it, the whole team is doing it too.”
Head coach Rick Bowness on Winnipeg's level of compete against top teams:
"Again, we just compare ourselves to our standards. It doesn't matter, good teams around the league. This is how the Winnipeg Jets have to play to be successful and we just worry about our own standards. We play the way we want to play."
WHAT’S NEXT:
The Winnipeg Jets are now on holidays for the next four days, before travelling to Chicago for a test against Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks. They will then face off against the Minnesota Wild in a home-and-home set to close out the year on the 30th and 31st of January.
