Jets earn 12th win of the season
RECAP:
On Tuesday night from downtown Winnipeg, the Jets picked up their 12th win of the season and second shutout.
They did so by way of a 3-0 victory over fellow Central Division rival, the Utah Hockey Club.
Gabe Vilardi scored the winner - a second period power play goal - while Nino Niederreiter added the second and third tallies for Winnipeg, marking his sixth and seventh goals of the young season.
Connor Hellebuyck recorded the 39th shutout of his career and second of the season, while picking up his league-leading ninth win.
Although a rather boring game, event-wise, the Jets prevailed, finding yet another way to win in what has been an incredible and unexpected near-perfect start to the season. Now 12-1-0, Winnipeg will look to keep the good times rolling as two more Central Division opponents enter the not-so-friendly confines of Canada Life Centre as the week moves on.

QUOTEABLE:
Nino Niederreiter on now having scored a goal against 33 different NHL clubs:
“It’s a cool stat, but I think it also says that I’ve been traded a few times. But I guess it gives me the chance to do that. It’s a cool stat.”
WHAT’S NEXT:
Winnipeg will remain at home throughout the rest of the week, with the Colorado Avalanche (Thursday) and the Dallas Stars (Saturday) showing up to play their Central Division opponents at 7:00 PM and 2:00 PM Central, respectively. The Jets will then head out on the road for three games next week.
