Jets fall to stars 2-0 as Oettinger shuts out Winnipeg
RECAP:
The Winnipeg Jets have fallen to 12-7-2 with a 2-0 loss to the Dallas Stars from Canada Life Centre on Tuesday night.
Fresh off the heels of a three-game road trip through Tampa Bay, Florida and Nashville, the Jets were unable to keep their strong month of November alive, as they were shut out by goaltender Jake Oettinger and his Stars teammates.
The game didn't start nor finish well for Winnipeg, which completely sleep-walked through the opening frame. The Jets gave up the winner in the second period and failed to score on either of their two two-man advantages in the game.
Joe Pavelski potted the game-winner, before Tyler Seguin got the insurance marker late in the third period.
Connor Hellebuyck made just 19 saves in the loss.

QUOTEABLE:
Mark Scheifele on the message from head coach Rick Bowness following the loss:
“We’ve got to stick to the process. Not everything is going to be sunshine and rainbows. There are going to be tough stretches, stretches where you think you should have had a better result and you’ve got to keep trucking.”
Nino Niederreiter on the play of both goaltenders:
“Oettinger was definitely great, but so was Bucky. They both stood on their head. Bucky gave us a chance to win and the PP made the difference tonight.”
WHAT’S NEXT:
Next up for the Jets is the continuation of the four-game homestand at Canada Life Centre. Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers make their way to town on Thursday evening, before Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks clash with the Jets in a Saturday matinee affair. Both games can be viewed live on TSN.
