The Winnipeg Jets will be in Edmonton to face the Oilers at 5:00 PM central time on Sunday evening for the team's first contest on the six-game preseason roster.
Facing what will likely be a Connor McDavid-less Oilers team, the Jets will also be without a number of star players. But the biggest storyline for Jets fans tuning into the game on TSN will be that of the new voice of the Winnipeg Jets on TSN.
Listed within Winnipeg's 'Game Notes' segment, the play-by-play caller will be Dan Robertson, the eight-year, 600+ game veteran radio voice of the Montreal Canadiens.

Serving as the English-speaking play-by-play guy for TSN 690 Montreal radio, Robertson will bring a bevy of play-calling experience, while also demonstrating his ability to call games off a television monitor, as he was required to do during 2021 with COVID-19 travel restrictions taking away his ability to get to the road rinks.
The 52-year-old actually only began his commentary career in his 30s after filling in as the play-by-play caller for his hometown Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. His time with the Mooseheads spanned a number of seasons to which he was able to watch the current NHL stars of today find their footing in major junior hockey.
As the TSN broadcast opened, Robertson officially introduced himself to Jets fans.

"I am the new full-time voice of the Winnipeg Jets on TSN, and it makes me very happy to tell you that," Robertson said to begin the broadcast on TSN on Sunday evening.
"I know I am going to be trying to fill some big skates left behind by Dennis Beyak who is as good a man as he is a broadcaster," Robertson added. "Dennis has really been helpful the last couple of weeks. I'll do my best and work as hard as I can to maintain the standard that Dennis set for the past 11 seasons. And Kevin, part of that will be to have fun working with you, and I'm really looking forward to that."
