Winkler flyers' dalton andrew has signed with the UND Fighting Hawks
Winkler Flyers star forward, Dalton Andrew, has announced his commitment to the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks to play NCAA Division 1 men’s hockey beginning in the 2024-25 season.
The Brandon product led the MJHL in scoring with 43 goals and 82 points to earn the MJHL’s Mike Ridley Trophy, given annually to the league’s top scorer following regular season play.
The third-year Winkler Flyer was an MJHL First Team All-Star and co-led the MJHL playoffs in scoring with four goals and 10 assists in 15 games (tied with teammate Trent Penner).
The 6-foot-5, 205- pound forward previously committed to play U-SPORTS hockey for the Acadia University Axemen in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Conference. But this new opportunity far superseded his earlier option with Acadia.
